Obituary

Brooks, Anna L. (Johnson)
Anna passed peacefully January 23, 2021 after completing Jesus’s plan he had for her on this earth. Anna was born July 7, 1922 in the Swedish enclave of Pawtuxet/Warwick. She was predeceased by her mother and father Elsa and Godfried Johnson, her husband of 42 years William Brooks, sister Charlotte Gemma, brother Godfried Johnson and sister Elsie Neville. Anna leaves four children; William Brooks Jr., Sharyn Gagnon, Thomas Brooks, Rebecca Brooks; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Anna was one of the few remaining of the greatest generation. Anna survived the great depression while growing up in Pawtuxet. She assisted in the war effort during WWII working for Brown & Sharp while her husband was away in the Army fighting. Anna was liked by everyone she met through her genuine concern for them. Anna was the last of the greatest generation in our family and will be sadly missed by all.

Her funeral will be private. Burial in the RI Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Information and condolences, visit theQuinnFuneralHome.Com
