Daniel M. Lombardi Obituary

Daniel M. Lombardi, 92, a lifelong Johnston resident, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. He was the husband of Assunta “Susie” (Giorgi) Lombardi for 62 years before her passing in 2012. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Michael and Antonetta (Bellantone) Lombardi. Mr. Lombardi was a project manager for Stanmar Construction and Fafard Construction for 30 years before retiring in 1996. He was a WWII Navy veteran serving in the Asiatic-Pacific theatre and a proud member of the USS St. Paul Assoc. He was a member of American Legion Post 0102, a life member of VFW Post 15041, and a former member of Our Lady of Grace Church Holy Name Society. Mr. Lombardi also enjoyed making wine,
Gardening, baking and golfing.
He was the father of Mary S. Farnum, Michael J., Anthony J., Paul D., Raymond M. and Philip E. Lombardi. He was the brother of Francis DiMatteo and the late John Lombardi. He was the grandfather of Julie, Matthew, Kristen, Christina, Jessica, Gina, Emily, Thomas, Julia and Sophia; great-grandfather of 8.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 9:30am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation respectfully omitted.
