David C. Galoski, 31, a lifelong Smithfield resident, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of Norma J. (Tedeschi) Galoski of Smithfield and the late David M. Galoski. David was a computer engineer for 7 years formerly for Zebra Technologies before leaving due to his illness in 2018. He graduated from Smithfield High School in 2007 and the University of Rhode Island in 2011. He loved playing guitar and video games. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing and sharing meals with others. He was extraordinarily kind, generous, and funny.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his twin sister Alyse E. Phillips and his brother-in-law, Michael D. Phillips of North Smithfield. He also leaves behind beloved uncles, aunts, and cousins: Peggy Mroz, Bob Tedeschi, John Galoski, Stephen Galoski, Diane Galoski, Dawn Fusco, Todd Fusco, Tammy Lanctot, Tim Lanctot, John Galoski, Lauren Galoski, Cayla Galoski, Matthew Fusco, Emily Fusco, Colin Lanctot, Gavin Lanctot, Jackson Galoski, and Carter Galoski.
Due to state-imposed COVID-19 restrictions, his funeral and burial will be private.
