Earl A. “Sonny” Barber, 80, passed away Wednesday, January, 8, 2020 at the Bayberry Commons in Pascoag. He was the beloved husband of Noreen E. (Hopkins) Barber. Born in Scituate, a son of the late James L. and Dorothy L. (Fuller) Barber. Mr. Barber was a cement batcher for the Barnes Concrete Company for over 30 years before retiring. He was a Chepachet resident for most of his life and enjoyed NASCAR racing.
In addition to his wife he was the father of Lori A. Gagnon of Chepachet, Linda J. Chauvin of Summerfield, FL, Melissa E. Barber of Chepachet and the late Dina M. Barber. He was the brother of Russell E. Barber of Dunnellon, FL, Shirley A. Guertin of Harrisville, Catherine L. Cormier of Plainfield, CT, Carol L. Davis of Burrillville and the late Henry L. Barber and Mabel E. Heon. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. His funeral and burial will be private
