Madeline A. (Daniels) Brown, 97, of North Kingstown, passed away on December 13, 2018. She was the wife of the late Colin H. Brown, Jr.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Fallon) Daniels.
Mrs. Brown graduated from South Kingstown High School class of 1939. She worked for the University of Rhode Island in food services for thirty-three years before retiring as manager.
In October 2015, she was honored as an 80-year member of the Richmond Grange. She was also a member of the North Kingstown Senior Center. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Spending time with her family brought her the most joy.
She leaves three children and their spouses, Robert and Shirley Mae Brown of CT, Thomas and Beverly Brown of North Kingstown and Elizabeth and Robert Cummiskey of West Warwick; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a great, great-grandson. She was the sister of the late Mary Fuesz, Geraldine Conlon Harrington, Dorothy Therriault and John Daniels.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 20th at 8:45am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Christ The King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Wednesday, December 19th from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Groden Network, 610 Manton Avenue, Providence, RI 02909 or Wounded Warrior Project, Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675-8517, or Rhode Island Special Olympics 370 George Washington Highway, Smithfield RI 02917 will be appreciated.
