Rita L. Oliva Obituary

Rita L. (Lamoureux) Oliva, 84, passed away comfortably surrounded by family Monday, January 25, 2021. She was the wife of Albert C. Engelmann. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Theresa D. (Ducharm) Lamoureux. Mrs. Oliva worked in manufacturing before retiring. She lived in Smithfield from 1997 to 2004, moved to North Carolina for 2 years and then back to Smithfield where she currently resides. She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts and was a member of the Germain Shepherd Dog Club of RI.
In addition to her husband Albert, she was the mother of Colleen O. Voller of Mesa, AZ, Joseph R. Oliva of Canada and the late Kathleen M. Melise. She was the sister of Roger Lamoureux and the late Raymond Lamoureux. Mrs. Oliva is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her funeral and burial will be private.
